Young Canada Works - Mi'kmaq Research Associate

Baile nan Gàidheal | Highland Village, located in Iona, Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, is a folk life centre dedicated to preserving the language, culture and identity of the Nova Scotia Gaels.

Baile nan Gàidheal is a part of the Nova Scotia Museum, operated locally by the Nova Scotia Highland Village Society. The Highland Village is located in Unama’ki, the traditional homeland of the Mi’kmaw people.

Baile nan Gàidheal is currently developing an outdoor interpretive exhibit to introduce its visitors to the Mi'kmaw peoples and their story. To support the development of the exhibit, the Nova Scotia Highland Village Society seeks to employ an intern through the Young Canada Works program as a Mi'kmaq Research Associate.
