Come and join us at the table for songs and friendly conversation at the Highland Village milling frolic. The Gaels way to make the cloth ready for home use was too wet it, beat it and make a time of it, while communally singing choral songs in rhythm during the milling frolic. Regular admission applies. 2:00-3:00pm.

Come join us for a guided storytelling tour of the Highland Village. This special folklife experience will give you insight into the lives and stories of Nova Scotia Gaels. The group will have an opportunity to enjoy some tea and traditional Cape Breton oatcakes. Reservations preferred. The costs are $40 per adult or $20 per student. 10:30am-12:30pm.
Eilean na h-Òige | Island of Youth Living History Program - Wednesdays In July & August

Take part in this special living history program for children and get a sense of what life was like for Gaels in those days past. The program features special hands-on activities including chores, crafts, games, language, and song. Costumes are provided. For ages 8-12 only. $45 per child. Prepaid reservations required by noon on Tuesdays. 10:00am-4:00pm.
Spòrs Beag – Fridays in July & August

Join us for a fun morning of Gaelic songs, stories, and traditional games as your children learn what life was like for the Gaelic settlers. Spòrs Beag is for children aged 5-10. Free admission. 10:00am-12:00pm.
